Astley Clarke is leading a search for the Jewellery Designer of the Year 2008. The competition will give one lucky and talented individual the opportunity of a lifetime. Our expert panel of highly regarded jewellery and fashion experts will help select the winning designer and Astley Clarke will agree to buy a selection from the winners collection to be launched on the Astley Clarke website (www.AstleyClarke.com) and through the Astley Clarke Showroom at 6 Junction Mews, W2 1PN.

Michael Wainwright (Managing Director: Boodles)
Michael Wainwright joined Boodles in 1984, and owns and runs the company with his brother, Nicholas. He is the fifth generation of the Wainwright family to own the business which was established in 1798. Michael is responsible for the Boodles brand and oversees the commercial aspects of the business and the continual investment into design, advertising and shop environment.
Jess Cartner-Morley (Fashion Editor:The Guardian)
Jess Cartner-Morley has been Fashion Editor of The Guardian for 8 years.She is based in London, but each season, reports from fashion weeks in Paris, Milan and New York. She has also written for magazines including Vogue, Marie Claire, Elle and Ten.
Vivienne Becker (Contributing Editor: Financial Times’ “How To Spend It” magazine.)
Vivienne Becker is an award-winning jewellery writer, author and media personality, with an internationally acknowledged expertise in the world of jewels. She has written several books on the history of jewellery design, lectures and broadcasts regularly on her subject, and works as a creative consultant and trend forecaster for the industry. She is a contributing editor to the Financial Times’ “How To Spend It” magazine. Bec Astley Clarke (Managing Director: Astley Clarke)
London based, Bec Astley Clarke, has always had a passion for fine and designer jewellery. With over 10 years experience in the ecommerce and luxury goods sector, she decided to set up AstleyClarke.com. Her aim was to create an online jewellery boutique, selling precious and semi-precious jewellery form an elite assembly of national and international designers, creating a truly unique destination of exclusive designer jewellery. She has worked closely with many talented designers to create exciting and exclusive lines of designer jewellery for Astley Clarke and frequently travels the world to find exciting up and coming designers.
