The story behind the stone…

Amongst one of the first materials used by ancient craftsmen for decorative purposes, mother of pearl has been used for millennia for utensils and ornamentation. Fine mother of pearl artefacts have been found in Turkey dating back to the early Bronze Age, and in the Egyptian pyramids from around 4,500BC.
