The story behind the stone…
Moonstone has been associated with moon goddesses through the ages, due to its mystical, iridescent surface. Pliny the Elder (23-79 AD), a Roman historian, naturalist and author of the world's first encyclopaedia, referred to stones called 'astrions' - meaning star-stones, thought now to have been moonstones.

Lovely ring, bought it with both the moonstone and the aquamarine as I want to wear them both together. I was a bit disappointed as the blue colour of the aquamarine is not nearly as intense as in the photo, it actually looks more like a slightly bluish moonstone. The two stones are quite similar. I kept it anyway. I also noticed that the ring bars are of different thicknesses on both rings, even though they are the same model.
